Here are some keys for you to be a good one.
Before starting your profession as a nanny it would be best if you have at least a crash course about child care or volunteer through an organization that works with children. It would help you to gain knowledge and to gain experience in taking care of them. Thus, in making this it would be easy for you to care for the children of your host family.

Choose a family that would agree with your own values, who understands and loves you like you are one of them. Being a good nanny comes from a good family who would treat you not their servant but as a member of their family.
Have an open and honest communication with the parents. In every way, you need to talk to them faithfully. Ask them what are the things you need to be done as a nanny and vice versa you would tell them your ways in achieving them. If the things for the children started to get low, like diapers or milk, etcetera, let them know. When you need to visit a doctor for a checkup, tell them beforehand. Don’t lie to them. They would trust you all the more if you are true to them in everything. Keep the parents updated of the children’s whereabouts and what are their activities every day. Do this especially when both of them are working, they would appreciate it and they would realize that you know their love for their children even if they are working.

Respect the family’s privacy. Do not gossip around the neighborhood about your employer’s private life. Never ever post in social media things that would embarrass them. If in case you have some issues with them, be honest and talk to them. Love your work and love the family. If you love your work and love the family as well, everything comes with it. You would be zealous. Even after the children have fallen asleep, you would still do the other chores in the house without the parents asking you to do so.

You show your care and love for the children by doing the following, you show appropriate discipline to them, interact with them, celebrate with them if they achieve something, help them in everything, and take care of their health.

You will have the opportunity to experience and learn how other people live, how they think, and raise their own children. you will discover new things about your own life and culture, you will get a chance to travel and see new places, new cultures and meet new people.
